Money talks and moving money out of Citizens Bank makes a statement. Pledge to move your account to another bank as we walk in together. AE Recommends
- No Fear Street Theater asked us to broadcast their SOS for more folks to attend the Saturday ICE protest Standout in Burlington, from 11 to 1. Their numbers are small (around 30) and lately they’re facing a MAGA group on a nearby corner who are trying to intimidate with their bullhorns and aggressive ‘interviews’. Increasing numbers and visibility would help a lot.
Bearing Witness at ICE — EVERY WED, THU, SAT
- We invite you to stand in solidarity outside the ICE Enforcement & Removal Operations Office in Burlington. Together, we can show love & support for immigrants, express our shame at ICE, and bear witness to the cruel and unconstitutional actions of our government.
De-ICE Citizens Bank — EVERY WEDNESDAY & SATURDAY
Join us for a peaceful weekly standout calling on Citizens Bank to stop financing private prison corporations that build and operate ICE detention centers, where immigrants are held in abusive and inhumane conditions.
The weekly afternoon standout is on Fridays from 1:30–3:00pm at the Hanscom Rotary (intersection of Hanscom Dr. and Old Bedford Rd. in Lincoln, MA.) Please park along Old Bedford Road or Hanscom Drive without impeding traffic or blocking bike lanes.
Brookline Rally for Democracy — EVERY SATURDAY
Join members of three Brookline pro-democracy groups — indivisible Activist Evenings, Brookline Pax, and Speak Out, Seniors! — for our weekly rally at Coolidge Corner.
Don’t Stream Fascism: Cancel Spotify
- Spotify is running ads recruiting agents for ICE. These ads target vulnerable populations, promise signing bonuses, and normalize fear and intimidation in our neighborhoods. Spotify claims these ads comply with their policy, but the truth is streaming hate is not neutral. It’s a choice! We refuse to fund it. We refuse to ignore it.
Don’t Fund ICE: Close Citizen’s Accounts
- Citizen’s Bank is one of very few banks providing financial services to the two largest corporations that build and run private prisons and detention centers which ICE is using. Close your account and join us in front of the bank in Coolidge Corner on Wednesdays.
You can’t get much more local than this.
Step Up and Step Out
Just outside your front door, meet neighbors at your closest corner for
10 minutes on Saturdays at 8pm.
Talk together about what you can do to support immigrant communities and take one step together for a just and compassionate country.
Then post it on social media.
Do it again next week with even more neighbors!
