Hello, Friend.
Activist Evenings celebrated and brainstormed on Monday. It marked a turning point from the fear and despair we’ve felt since the Presidential election. Things are shifting dramatically and quickly, which means what we are doing is working.
This election proved that we can both turn out the base and persuade skeptics to vote Democratic. We are seeing pillars that the administration relies on for support start to wobble (eg. the Catholic Church has taken a stand against deportation). This increasing success makes it easier to engage people who have been unhappy but on the sidelines in the work of resisting the regime.
Invite your friends to join you if you stand out in front of Citizen’s Bank or come write postcards. Promote your decision to participate in the boycott of Amazon, Target and Home Depot next week on social media. Talk to friends about dropping Spotify. Each time someone becomes a little more active, it becomes more likely we can not only stop Trump, but we can also create a country that reverses the wealth gap, welcomes immigrants and has a working and affordable healthcare system (for a start).
Are you feeling the hope we feel? What we are doing at Activist Evenings is taking place all over the state and the country. There are thousands of groups like ours and tens of thousands of activists like you.
So here you go….

- The midterms are coming and candidates need money. Delete the incessant requests for money and give strategically. Oath, like our friends Force Multiplier, crunches numbers and analyzes where your $ will have the greatest impact. They have identified 6 congressional candidates in flippable districts in swing states who are heavily favored to win their primaries so the early money that goes to them will be critical when they go on to the general election against an incumbent GOP. They go further in that your donations do not land you on multiple mailing lists AND that peace of mind makes it easier for us to donate.
- Movement Voter Project is another way to get early money into winning the midterms. Their proven strategy of investing in grassroots groups paid off this November. They host regular events with guests like Robert Hubbell. Check out the schedule here.

- Joyce Vance on Miss Piggy, misogyny and a refusal to be quiet about the Trumpstein files.
- BC Professor and Historian Heather Cox Richardson on the anniversary of the Gettysburg Address.
- ” Democrats edge widens when respondents are told who controls the house.” Data nerds can read more.
And then there are podcasts! This Pod Save America about polling tells us about 2026 and beyond is long but worthwhile.

- What’s the Plan. Every Thursday the founders of Indivisible answer questions from thousands of people. The conversation is then posted on YouTube and always helps us understand the strategy of resistance, which then gives us hope.
