If we speak the truth fearlessly, we shall add to our number
those who will turn the scale to the side of equal and full justice in all things.

Hi Friend,
Indivisible’s training tonight is marking a crucial step from constituent power to citizen power. Sign up here to watch at home. Learn with the founders of Indivisible, Erika Chenoweth (the researcher who identified 3.5% as a crucial threshold) and other experts about what is at stake and how we can build an effective movement.
IN PERSON WATCH PARTY CANCELLED DUE TO HEAT AND NO A/C.
Trump is feeling the heat. MAGA is fracturing over the Epstein files. While Senate Republican’s blocked a release, Speaker Mike Johnson has now called for that. Few of us saw this coming and it’s unclear where it will go. Cornered animals are dangerous but can also be captured and caged. We can do more than hope, we’ll keep organizing.
Stay cool and fuel your resolve. We’ll see you tomorrow at Good Trouble Lives On.

Protesting won’t change Trump but it does help build our movement. It strengthens that small voice in bystanders unhappy with what is happening to our neighbors and our country. Marching with others or seeing a montage of protests from a single week, helps us remember that we are far from alone. There are millions of us willing to stand up for what we believe.

With a Democratic Governor, and majorities in both chambers of the legislature, Massachusetts is among 15 states with full Democratic trifectas. “When Democrats control the governorship and both chambers of the legislature, they can act fast and boldly to block, blunt, and beat back Trump’s most dangerous moves. They can sue. They can pass laws. They can create safe zones and legal shields. And they can lead by example.” (from Indivisible’s Blue State Defiance)
Here are actions you can take to demand our leaders act to protect the people of the Commonwealth. NOW.

- Michael Cohen writes, We are witnessing the erosion of institutional legitimacy in real time. And it’s not just about Trump. It’s about a judiciary that has become so politicized, so insulated, and so indifferent to public accountability that it no longer even bothers to explain itself. Read more.
- Robert Hubbell in Today’s Edition tells us, “We must never again suffer from a lack of imagination or boldness in responding to unprecedented threats to the Constitution.” If we are branded as “leftists” or “radicals” or (gasp!) “progressives” for rising to the defense of the Constitution while others are complacent, we should accept those labels as a badge of honor—and tell our detractors and doubters to retire, get out of the way, or become part of the solution.” Read more.
- Jessica Valenti’s Abortion Every Day keeps the focus on women’s lives. “For years Republicans have been using the lie of abortion ban exceptions to convince voters that “good’, ‘deserving’ women will still be able to access care if they need it. Obviously this is a crock of shit – exceptions are just a political tool created to hep Republicans’ public image, not to expand abortion access.” Read more.
