Hi Friend,
Many of us are in town and have watched one or both of the One Million Rising calls. If you missed them live, they are available on you tube and are well worth watching. The question lots of us are asking is now what?
Join other new and experienced activists to discuss and plan next steps. Need help thinking through hosting a community gathering? Want some inspiration about how to lead a meeting? Do you have experiences you want to share with others to make moving this important initiative forward easier?
As individuals, we each have personal connections with one or more of the institutions that comprise the pillars of support governments depend on: business, labor, faith, education, civil service and military/police. As a group, we can amplify ideas that might strengthen dissent and weaken accommodation.
We’ll have tables and chairs, you bring the questions, ideas and energy!AND don’t worry if it’s blistering hot, we will be meeting in a cool, well lit room!
Let’s get creative and effective together!

Protesting won’t change Trump but it does help build our movement. It strengthens that small voice in bystanders unhappy with what is happening to our neighbors and our country. Marching with others or seeing a montage of protests from a single week, helps us remember that we are far from alone. There are millions of us willing to stand up for what we believe.

With a Democratic Governor, and majorities in both chambers of the legislature, Massachusetts has a trifecta. “When Democrats control the governorship and both chambers of the legislature, they can act fast and boldly to block, blunt, and beat back Trump’s most dangerous moves. They can sue. They can pass laws. They can create safe zones and legal shields. And they can lead by example.” (from Indivisible’s Blue State Defiance)
Here are actions you can take to demand our leaders act to protect the people of the Commonwealth. NOW.
