When we began organizing Activist Evenings, we thought it was going to be a sprint to defeat Trump. We got help throwing together a website and muddled through setting up communication. The sprint has turned into an ultra marathon and we have a new look (thank you Sara T!) and a new email address ([email protected]). Our goal is to continue building community and together strengthening opposition to the self-dealing, traitorous billionaires intent on tearing down democracy.

- Monday, March 31, Wake Up VA postcarding and sign making for the Hand’s Off March –There will be postcards to purchase for the Wake Up Virginia campaign. The postcards target women who lean Democrat or Republican and who haven’t voted in past elections. The goal is to get these women to pay attention to what is happening. Packets of 20 cards, instructions, and stamps are $15. Cash or checks preferred.

Time – but no money?
- Make sure you have your legislators numbers in your phone and give Representative Auchincloss a call and ask him to show up for the Hand’s Off Massachusetts rally on April 5.
- He could also use encouragement to ask Chuck Schumer to step aside as majority leader. We need strong leadership and Schumer is no longer providing it. The Senator is not behaving like the House, the Senate and the country are on fire.
- Call Wisonsin voters to remind them to vote tomorrow for Susan Crawford and show Musk that Wisconsin can’t be bought, even for $15 million.

What we are reading
- On March 25, the Trump regime issued an illegal executive order that would take control of elections away from states and severely curtail voting. This would be a 21st-century poll tax that targets working people, young voters, new Americans, married women who’ve changed their names, and Black and brown communities. Please contact the Secretary of State, Bill Galvin, and demand that state election officials not follow this illegal order. And contact our Congress people to demand they block this effort to curtail our rights. And, as always, tell your friends and family in red states to do the same. Read more at Democracy Docket.
